Vision
To be the premier Foundation providing the infrastructure and support needed by people to grow, expand and realise their full potential, through partnerships aimed at contributing towards a better and peaceful world.
About us
A non-partisan, non-profit organisation funded by partners and well-wishers, working for a wholesome democratic society.
The Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation (KMF) is a Kenyan-based non-profit organisation focusing on creating a conducive environment for a wholesome democratic society. H.E. Hon. Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka founded the Foundation in January 2005. It is duly registered under the Kenyan Non-Governmental Organizations registry, NGO Coordination Board — registration number OP.218/051/2005/0226/3665.
The Foundation is dedicated to the improvement of quality of life for all, the alleviation of poverty, the provision of healthcare, and the promotion of justice, peace, human rights, democracy and the conservation of the environment.
KMF develops strategic alliances and partnerships while engaging communities directly — identifying areas of need and pooling adequate resources for the implementation of its programmes.
To be the premier Foundation providing the infrastructure and support needed by people to grow, expand and realise their full potential, through partnerships aimed at contributing towards a better and peaceful world.
To improve the quality of life for all: alleviating poverty, providing healthcare, and promoting justice, peace, human rights, democracy and the conservation of the environment.
Non-partisan and partner-funded. We build alliances, engage communities to identify genuine need, and pool resources so every programme is adequately supported from day one.
The founder
A long-serving Kenyan statesman, Dr. Musyoka served as the tenth Vice-President of Kenya (2008–2013) and previously held ministerial dockets including Foreign Affairs, Education and Environment. His record in regional peace-making — including the Sudan peace process — shaped the Foundation's fourth pillar: peace as the ground on which education, health and enterprise stand.
He established KMF in January 2005 to formalise decades of community service into a structured, accountable vehicle for change.
KMF is a non-partisan, non-profit organisation funded by partners and well-wishers. Every partnership widens the circle of people we can reach.
